Columbus Avenue has become a dangerous place for me on the Upper West Side. Some of my favorite stores are lined up one after the other, and Theory is one of them. When you walk into one of their stores, you will immediately notice the sophisticated simplicity in their clothes. Clean lines, mostly solid colors, and quality pieces. Some of the items I’ve had in my closet the longest are from Theory. Their pants and blazers are cut beautifully, fit impeccably and stand the test of time.
I don’t wear a lot of prints, and when I do they are pretty feminine. This print is a bit of a departure for me, but I gave it a try because I love the simple t-shirt style of the dress. I liked it as soon as I put it on, but then the store’s manager took it to another level. He brought over the jacket and belt and had me pop on a pair of booties and WOW. This simple t-shirt dress was instantly elevated, and you know I love anything that can be dressed up or down for ultimate versatility.
Next time I want to take this dress for a spin in a more casual setting, I’ll ditch the belt & blazer and add these slip on sneakers. And for winter, tights and these boots will be in order. All around, this dress is a great find!

Great dress! I love Theory too! 🙂
Gorgeous jacket, how does it fit? What size are you wearing if you don’t mind, it fits beautifully and looks very tailored!
Hi Meg!
Thanks for the note. I’m wearing a size 2. If you’re a tall girl and have trouble finding sleeves that are long enough, you won’t have a problem with this one! The sleeves are lengthy with a leather detail at the end. There is no button closure so if you’re often in between sizes like I am, you can probably size down since it doesn’t need to close.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
Xo Christina
