I finally embraced a longer length and purchased my first midi skirt.
I love the ladylike sophistication of this box pleated skirt and the perfectly on trend fall floral pattern. The shiny texture makes this a great choice for a special occasion. I wore it to a shower last weekend and plan to wear it to a holiday party or two in the months to come.
When styling a midi skirt, it’s important to keep proportion in mind. When the skirt is full, a more form fitting top will be most figure-flattering. I can definitely see this skirt with my favorite Vince turtleneck or a cashmere sweater (or a crop top for the more fashion forward). A leather jacket would also give it a more edgy vibe.
For the more petite, a heel that shows the top of your foot will lengthen your legs to avoid the frump-factor. With the right proportions, this shape is a universally flattering choice.

Beautifully styled, and you definitely avoided the frump factor with those shoes! 🙂
Love. Love. Love this skirt! The clutch with it is so edgy and fun, yet still somehow timeless. Wonderful post! Makes me want to shop and give midi a try.
