I spent a fun weekend with friends in Venice California for New Years (as seen here). If you haven’t been, it’s a fun, quirky beachfront spot in LA. A few blocks from the beach you’ll find Abbott Kinney, a stretch of palm tree lined road with cool restaurants, bars, shops, and galleries. I popped into IRO in search of a New Years Eve dress, and I immediately fell in love with this one. A shift dress is one of my favorite silhouettes…and finding one with an open back? Done deal. An effortless and chic evening look was born.
I rewore the dress back in New York where booties and a leather jacket transformed it to a downtown vibe. While I would prefer not to wear tights with this dress, the Manhattan weather called for it. I opted for a patterned pair to make it a little more fun.
If you’re headed to Venice, you can find a few of my favorites spots in this Instagram post.
XOXO, Christina
