I normally prefer short dresses & skirts (like Heidi Klum!), but for occasions that aren’t mini-skirt appropriate, I want to be covered up without feeling frumpy. This cutout dress is a perfect way to show just a hint of skin. I love how the hemline isn’t too short and the dress isn’t too tight, but it still feels slimming & flattering.
This dress can be quite versatile depending on what you wear it with. I have glammed it up for a wedding with a pair of metallic gold heels, and I have paired it with these open-toe leather booties for a low-key restaurant opening on the Upper West Side. You could even wear it to the office underneath a belted jacket or fitted blazer, especially if you need to transition to a formal event in the evening.
My favorite thing about this jacket is how it immediately dresses up any outfit. The belt cinches high at the waist, which is immediately figure flattering.
