From the moment I spotted this dress, I knew it would be coming on my summer vacation. The rich colors, exotic silk print, and swingy silhouette drew me straight to it. It was worthy of a special place, and for me it would make its debut in Morocco.
Normally I shy away from voluminous dresses; it is so easy to get swallowed up in the fabric, especially with a bold print such as this. But I slipped it on, did a twirl, and it was love. Just to be sure I would have other styling options, I tied on a belt to cinch in the waist and it worked beautifully. You could also anchor the dress with a structured bag if you’re concerned about the volume. This particular occasion called for the flowy, organic shape and simple accessories–just a couple of bangles and my leather sandals.
These photos were taken at the stunningly beautiful Kasbah Bab Ourika in the Ourika Valley of Morocco. It’s a hidden gem amongst the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. I am so completely obsessed with it that I have dedicated an entire post here. I hope it will inspire your next adventure!
