If I could write a poem about this dress, I would. There are so many little details that make this modern shirt dress unique: the top to bottom button front, flared shirttail and intricate pleating just to name a few. This is hands down my favorite shape to wear for fall and into winter because it can so easily be layered with a chunky sweater, tights and boots. (Not to mention it’s so very comfortable!)
I got lucky on this beautiful day and opted for bare legs and suede sandals. There is a very short window where I’ll be able to wear these shoes this season, so I seized the opportunity. I have received so many compliments on them, and they are surprisingly comfortable given the height. Perhaps it’s my love of wine making its way into my wardrobe, but I am loving this dark cabernet color for fall, especially when paired with navy. If you love it as much as I do, Madewell has a ton of great stuff in this shade.
